| | The flute studios of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Texas A&M University-Kingsville will co-host the annual Coastal Bend Flute Symposium on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Center for the Arts at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The featured guest artist is internationally-recognized flutist and Juilliard faculty member Carol Wincenc, who will give a master class with students from both universities from 2-4 p.m. and perform with them in a flute choir reading session. Other symposium events include exhibits of flutes and other music accessories, a repair clinic on “Care and Feeding of Your Flute” at 10 a.m., and a presentation on “How to Choose Your Next Flute” at 11 a.m. All events are free and open to the public.
