Corpus Christi Calendar

The Coastal Wave was created as the Premier Corpus Christi Calendar.  My wife, Leslie, and I arrived in Corpus Christi in September 2007.  We live on Padre Island and we often found that it was difficult to find out what was going on in the City.  We had often heard people say "There's nothing to do in Corpus Christi."  But that isn't the case.  There's plenty to do in Corpus, there just wasn't a centralized Corpus Christi Calendar that contained all the Corpus Christi Events.  We found that most people heard about events and concerts either by word of mouth or happened to read a blurb about an upcoming event.  We kept waiting for someone to create that one great Corpus Christi Calendar.  Other cities such as Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Austin have well known websites that can quickly show you what's going on.  Corpus Christi was lacking that.

Finally, after waiting two years, Leslie and I decided that we would create the calendar.  Neither of us had any experience creating a website, but we knew how to get things done.  We reached out to our circle of friends to start putting the pieces together.  Fortunately, one of our friends is Natalie Honigbaum of NRHdesigns.  With her incredible combination of programming skills and design creativity, we were able to create a unique look and feel for The Coastal Wave.  Once we began gathering all of Corpus Christi Activities, we populated our Calendar with music, sports, theater, festivals, community events and more.  Whether you're a Corpus Christi resident or a visitor, The Coastal Wave can provide valuable information for your Travel to Corpus Christi, a list of Corpus Christi Hotels, Corpus Christi Restaurants and just about anything you need to know about Corpus Christi.
