Beach Permits 2011
Have Plans to Head to the Beach?
Don’t Forget Your 2011 Beach Parking Permit
DID YOU KNOW? Our beaches are the top local attraction for visitors, as
well as the reason some people choose to live, work and play here!
The City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department offers
residents a friendly reminder that the 2011 Beach Parking Permits are
available for purchase. Beachgoers are encouraged to purchase the
parking permits now for months of beach access and enjoyment…be it
recreation or relaxation!
Permits are required on most areas of the gulf beaches which are posted
on-site. The permits need to be displayed on vehicle windshields.
Permits are sold on the beach every week during the summer season, from
Memorial Day to Labor Day, and year-round at the following locations:
Stripes stores (over 60 locations), local H-E-B stores, Academy
Sports store, Central Cashiering at Corpus Christi City Hall, Corpus
Christi Visitors Centers, Nueces County Padre Balli Park Headquarters
Office, and Texas Star (on Padre Island).
The cost for the permit is $12. City Beach Operations officials say
they want all beach visitors to have a wonderful experience and to avoid
the $150 cost of a citation for parking on the beach without a Beach
Parking Permit.
And while at the beach, please Remember to Be Beach Smart…safety first,
swim with caution, and please obey all posted signs.
